Often known as the Swiss capital for gays and lesbians, thanks to a homosexual lobby with a strong presence, Zurich has many gay and lesbian hangouts such as the Cranberry Bar, a real hotspot in the past ten years and the Barfüsser, the oldest gay bar in Europe. The city hosts many events for the LGBT community like the famous Pride Parade in June.
