La Boîte a Musique has existed since 1904 and back then it was “Le Bazar du Jura”, a store that sold souvenirs, post cards, etc. And music boxes!

In the 1950s, after renovation, la Boîte à Musique became a restaurant. Decorated with circus images, it became an unmissable stopping place and welcomed many hikers.

One thing led to another and La Boîte à Musique became a dance bar, then a disco.

In the 1980s, it became a restaurant again, but unfortunately was damaged by a gas explosion in 2007.

Memories for some, discovery for others … the story of la Boîte à Musique has not finished yet …
