Raclette, fondue and dishes from the Valais region are some of the culinary specialties found in Sion. They are generally served with a vintage wine. Most of the restaurants in the city offer typical dishes at all times, such as La Glacière. For a fondue or a raclette, the Vieux Valais and the Grotto de la Fontaine are the best.
