As a cosmopolitan metropolis and the most populated city of Switzerland, Zurich is truly unique thanks to its privileged location at the north-western tip of Zurich Lake as well as its chic and trendy vibe. 

Passing through the city are the rivers Limmat and Sihl. Zurich is a mix between a rich historical inheritance throughout its old town and a trendy hotspot thanks to its highly animated nightlife, one of the best in the country. 

The world famous Bahnhofstrasse shopping street is a true shopping paradise where the many international luxury brands complement the local and traditional brands. Known for its zoo, Zurich is also a great city for families and friends with places such as the public basins – badi – on the lakes and the rivers, the train museum, and its many festivals as well as an ice-skating rink. 

Art lovers are spoilt for choice as the city possesses around 50 museums and over a 100 galleries.
