Lausanne counts around ten restaurants dedicated to local Swiss cuisine. The menus are as good as expected: platters of Swiss dried beef from Grisons or slices of veal oh the Zurich style are served at the restaurant La Pinte Besson, a hostel founded in 1780. The Café Romand on the other hand serves bread with dried meat and finally the Vieil-Ouchy offers fondues and röstis.
